Business Intelligence Developer Role Overview

This Business Intelligence Developer position is instrumental in driving the advancement of our ETL processes, report development, and business intelligence solutions.

The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing data accuracy and readiness for analysis by transferring large amounts of data to new formats.

They will provide in-depth analyses and actionable insights based on data trends and patterns. The ability to communicate complex data simply and effectively is crucial in this role.

The BI Developer will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to consolidate business requirements for reports and dashboards.

Key responsibilities also include designing and optimizing data pipelines with data engineers, leading the design, development, and optimization of complex ETL processes for large-scale data integration, developing sophisticated, interactive reports and dashboards using advanced BI tools, enforcing comprehensive data governance policies, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

The ideal candidate will align BI strategies with overall business goals through collaboration with executive leadership and identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and optimization in BI processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong background in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Programming, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse, ETL, OLAP Cube, and Report design/development, and data modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Advanced proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and ERD.
  • Proficiency in Machine Learning and AI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team, rigorous, detail-oriented, and critical thinker.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products.

Note: Experience with Snowpipe development is an advantage.
