US Accounting Manager

This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who can lead the month-end close process, create journal entries, accruals, and adjustments with accuracy and timeliness. The successful candidate will have experience in financial reporting, account reconciliations, and problem-solving.

The individual should have strong organizational and analytical skills, with proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and experience in public accounting and corporate environments. A deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and provide insights on significant variances
  • Assist in preparing internal financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal financial reporting packages
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of required tax forms
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits
  • Identify and lead initiatives to streamline and automate accounting processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
  • Experience in both public accounting and corporate accounting environments preferred
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls
  • Experience in a multi-client environment
  • Proficiency in ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Strong focus on accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Continuously looks for ways to improve accounting workflows and efficiency
