Software Engineering Lead Position

We are seeking an exceptional software engineer to drive the adoption of Rust in our organization.
- Design and implement well-tested and well-documented software in Rust, ensuring high-quality code and efficient solutions.
- Act as a champion for Rust adoption within the team and across departments, promoting its use and benefits.
- Identify projects and codebases that could benefit from Rust adoption, analyzing their feasibility and potential impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and provide expert technical guidance on Rust-related matters.
Key Qualifications:
- A strong academic record from high school and university, demonstrating academic excellence and a passion for technology.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience and skills.
- Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
- Proven ability to work independently, deliver results under tight deadlines, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, with a strong command of language and terminology.
- Passion for Linux and system-level programming, with a deep understanding of its principles and applications.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience developing software for Ubuntu and other Linux distributions.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like LXD, MicroK8s, and SnapD, as well as IoT and cloud computing platforms.
