Financial Collections Specialist

This role involves working as a financial collections specialist, providing invoicing and debt recovery services to enable efficient operation of all accounts receivable processes.

You will be responsible for liaising regularly with clients to follow up on queries related to debt or problems associated with their accounts, and analyse and report to the Team Leader on the nature of enquiries received.

  • Monitor collections of students services, publications, exhibitions, corporate service, and fellowships, and other issues relating to collections when they arise.
  • Assist in the upcoming invoice report and resolve any issues.

In addition, you will ensure contact details in finance systems for clients are accurate, liaise with client services unit to ensure provisions of the client services agreement are being met by institutions, negotiate disputes via country office and institutions, and mediate.

The key requirements include experience in financial accounting packages – A/R module, strong interpersonal skills, highly developed written and oral communication skills, strong word, excel, and Microsoft outlook skills, highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, organise work priorities to meet deadlines, and ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
