About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned construction estimator to deliver precise and competitive bids for our projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in analyzing architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications to create accurate estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technical drawings and specifications to estimate costs and develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing.
  • Collaborate with project managers to review bids and participate in risk analysis discussions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to obtain reliable pricing, lead times, and product availability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a construction estimator (3+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable building practices is a plus.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Trello).
