About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented US Tax Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow professionally in a dynamic and remote work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in tax auditing, consultancy, or advisory, as well as project management, analysis, and research skills. A background in sales tax is a plus but not required.

As a US Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing client accounts related to nexus reviews, permit applications, offboarding, tax settings, and new sales channels. You will build expertise in sales tax and communicate complex information clearly in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage changes to existing client accounts and communicate effectively to progress workflows.
  • Support clients and their sales tax accountants with issues related to tax settings, platforms, permits, and offboarding.
  • Update and test sales tax settings on platforms.
  • Support client offboarding, including permit closure and final paperwork.
  • Serve as the first contact for support on nexus reviews, permits, and other tax-related issues.

Success Metrics:

  • Manage 70 clients, completing 2-4 nexus reviews and 20-25 permit projects monthly.
  • Complete 3 hours of education or training quarterly.
  • Achieve at least 80% completion rate on quarterly goals.
