Senior DevOps Engineer Job Description

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote from Asia (normal day time hours)
Reporting to Senior DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and support technological solutions.
  • Establish a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for production deployments.
  • Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting systems for optimal performance.
  • Create and maintain 'infrastructure as code' configurations to set up cloud environments on AWS and Cloudflare.
  • Implement strategies and procedures to ensure system resilience and automated recovery from failure with minimal intervention.
  • Foster effective communication across relevant departments of the organization.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, ideally with 1+ Associate level certification in AWS.
  • Experience in infrastructure, database and network administration for highly available and scalable applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux System Administration & Bash scripting.
  • Proven experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS Serverless technologies.
  • Familiarity with web services, APIs, and RESTful architecture.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and distributed networks.
  • Expertise in managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Grafana.
  • Development background – experience with Python, NodeJS, Nginx Configuration.
  • Strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
