Senior Billing/Accounts Receivable Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our billing and accounts receivable operations.

As Senior Billing/Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing and accounts receivable process with precision and efficiency.

  1. Your primary focus will be on preparing and reviewing invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  2. You will closely monitor accounts receivable aging reports and effectively manage the collection process to secure timely payments.
  3. In this critical role, you will reconcile customer accounts, address billing discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  4. To improve the billing and collection process, you will develop strategic plans and coordinate with internal departments such as sales and customer service to guarantee accurate and timely billing.
  5. You will also analyze financial reports related to billing and accounts receivable, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  6. Furthermore, you will ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  7. In addition, you will support month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting and audits.
  8. Mentor junior staff, promoting a collaborative work environment and fostering growth within the team.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
