Healthcare Provider Relations Professional

Job Summary:

Cultivate and optimize relationships with healthcare providers in assigned areas to ensure effective networks delivering high-quality care to members.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and assist managers in new and renewal contracts for prospective and accredited providers, including hospitals, clinics, and doctors, as well as conduct provider-relations visits to existing providers.
  • Manage and gatekeep provider and physician data within the system.
  • Educate providers on administrative policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to internal teams on a case-by-case basis.
  • Prepare and issue warning letters, memoranda, and similar communications to providers and physicians when necessary.
  • Compile and organize reports for submission to immediate heads.
  • Assume charge in the manager's absence or during business meetings outside the company.
  • Facilitate resolution of provider-related concerns and complaints.
  • Perform other tasks assigned from time to time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • College Graduate (BS Nursing, Psychology, etc.)
  • At least 3 years' experience in the same role (Healthcare)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent attention to detail, Organizational Savvy, and Results-oriented
