Job Description

The senior general ledger accountant will provide support to the head of finance and controller in maintaining accurate financial records, adhering to accounting policies.

Key responsibilities include assisting with month-end close procedures, maintaining workpapers according to GAAP, and ensuring timely cash applications.

Other core tasks involve managing fixed assets from acquisition to disposal, performing periodic reconciliations, and coordinating with the revenue/receivables team.

Additionally, the accountant will execute journal entries, perform account reconciliations, analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, and ensure proper elimination entries for consolidated entities.

Responsibilities also include preparing schedules and providing documentation for annual audits, as well as interfacing with the accounts payable team to enforce best practices.

Qualifications for this role include at least 5 years of experience as an in-house accounting professional, a completed university degree in accounting, and strong proficiency in NetSuite and Ramp. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is also required.

Familiarity with lease accounting and dedication to advancing education are additional desirable traits. Ability to pass an international background check and provide satisfactory references is necessary.
