Key Role Overview

The strategic leadership position of Release Director oversees the quality delivery of all release functions.

This includes defining and executing release strategy, ensuring seamless coordination across teams, and driving operational excellence in planning, scheduling, and software/system releases.

Release Management Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize and manage the release management process for timely and high-quality software releases.
  • Coordinate across development, testing, and operations teams to streamline release cycles.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all releases, including emergency fixes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive release documentation, including plans, notes, and risk assessments.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in the release pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Establish effective governance frameworks for release planning, scheduling, and execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience in release management within a technology department.
