Research Assistant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to join our research team as a Research Assistant.

About the Position

This is a remote, full-time role that plays a key part in gathering market intelligence through a combination of online research and direct phone outreach.

Austin Investor Interest is a respected market research firm focused on the collection, analysis, and publication of multifamily real estate data in Central Texas.

No other company offers the same level of comprehensive, accurate, and timely multifamily market data in this region.

Responsibilities:
  • Calls local apartment communities to verify and update property information
  • Conducts online research to gather rental and occupancy data
  • Tracks development pipelines: what's being built, where, and by whom
  • Identifies property sales, listings, and ownership changes
  • Inputs and manages data using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Communicates findings clearly and accurately via email and internal tools
Requirements:
  • A self-starter with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
  • Comfortable using a VOIP system via Microsoft Teams for phone calls
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • A reliable computer setup, preferably with dual monitors and a stable internet connection
  • Someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in delivering high-quality, accurate work
  • Previous experience or interest in commercial real estate is a plus, but not required
