Job Summary

This role oversees the preparation, construction management, quality control/quality assurance and health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) compliance monitoring, punch-listing, testing and commissioning of solar projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Strategy & Execution: Develop strategic plans for solar project delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Scheduling & Budget Management: Create and manage project timelines and budgets to meet financial targets.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Communication: Liaise with internal teams, EPC contractors, vendors and customers to align project objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Secure permits and ensure technical compliance with regulatory bodies and utilities.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, specifications, insurance and change control processes.
  • Construction Oversight & Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities, conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to QA/QC standards.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Analyze construction risks and develop proactive solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage project teams, delegate responsibilities and mentor junior staff.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct regular progress reviews with EPC contractors.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience in Renewable Energy Projects: Years of project management experience in solar or other renewable energy construction projects.
  • Strong Knowledge of HSSE and Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrated ability to manage HSSE standards and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Expertise in Contract and Budget Management: Skilled in negotiating and managing contracts, budgets and schedules.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency in Solar Farm Construction: Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and construction monitoring.
