M&A Broker Role at a Leading Firm
We are seeking an ambitious professional to manage and develop a portfolio of sellers, handle account conversions, client communication, and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Account Management or Sales, preferably in a marketplace environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to win listings and manage them through to sale.
- Prospect potential clients and arrange meetings to showcase the platform's value proposition.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and manage strategic partnerships.
- Develop marketing materials that articulate the organization's expertise and services to potential clients.
- Assist team members in presenting business proposals and negotiate optimal transaction terms.
- Maintain CRM hygiene using tools like HubSpot.
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of sellers, ensuring timely support by collaborating with internal departments.
- Allocate part of your time to buyer-side activities, understanding buyer needs and pairing them with relevant listings.
- Spend part of your time managing listings for existing sellers and supporting their sales journey.
- Provide expert advice and guidance throughout the transaction process.
- Conduct valuation-driven analysis of client-provided financial data.
- Support in the management and coordination of legal documents.
- Lead post-transaction feedback sessions to refine strategies and improve ROI.
- Travel may be required to meet with clients face-to-face.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in M&A, Brokering, or a Sales role.
- Previous experience undertaking business analysis and process improvement is highly regarded.
- Degree in business, commerce, or marketing is advantageous.
- Ability to build strong relationships over-the-phone and in person.
- Results-oriented, independent, and well-organized.
- Adaptive to dynamic market changes and ability to identify and seize business opportunities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Motivated team player.
- Good analytical skills.
- Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity.
- A strong work ethic.
- Interest in a fast-paced environment and digital products and services.
Measures of Success:
- This role is measured by the service provided (e.g., contact touchpoints) and by the TTV (Total Transaction Value) that the book of sellers represents.
- You will be measured on how many managed accounts convert to sale, the volume and quality of regular communication with the portfolio of clients, and client satisfaction.
