Controller Role

The Controller is a critical member of the finance department, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and driving strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Oversight of accurate financial statement preparation and presentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Providing detailed financial analyses and insights to support decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Monitoring budget performance and recommending corrective actions where needed.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Maintenance of optimal cash flow levels by managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions.
    • Forecasting cash flow needs to support business operations and growth initiatives.
  • Compliance and Audit:
    • Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
    • Coordination with external auditors to complete audits efficiently.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and security.
    • Leveraging technology and software tools to improve financial processes and reporting.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Management and mentorship of the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
    • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a tech company.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial planning tools.
  • Experience working with cross-border financial operations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
