Job Overview:

GFT Technologies is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide technical support for finance technology applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot critical system components using runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform regular checks and periodic health checks of applications and processes.
  • Collaborate with business users, development teams, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and provide user training.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and capacity planning in accordance with organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in application support.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple priorities and deliver with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work 24/7 early and late shifts on a rotating schedule, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and a reliable team player.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience supporting large-scale applications in the banking/financial services sector.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and at least one RDBMS (Oracle/MSSQL).
  • Experience in production support, including incident and problem management.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and test execution.
