Job Title: Collections Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced collections professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, live chats, emails, and text messages from current borrowers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with customers to collect outstanding accounts in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all collection matters, striving to resolve overdue accounts efficiently.
  • Find and implement the correct solution for each customer, whether it's adjusting a payment date, processing an early payment, or restructuring loan terms.
  • Provide excellent customer service, clearly answering questions and providing accurate information.
Requirements:
  • Collections Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in collections, preferably in a contact center environment.
  • Sales Knowledge: Background in sales is an asset.
  • Cross Functionality: Ability to use multiple applications and monitors simultaneously to manage account workflows efficiently.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong active listening skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and handle challenging customer interactions effectively.
  • Career Maturity: Confident and professional demeanor when addressing sensitive topics.
  • Solutions Oriented: A solution-focused mindset with the ability to think critically and make accurate decisions.
