Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description

Our company is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of software products by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop thorough manual test cases and test plans.
  • Review and understand software requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect tracking system.
  • Perform thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not compromised by new changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality.
  • Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Document and communicate test results, status reports, and defect metrics to the QA Manager and development team.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA testers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
