Job Overview

The primary objective of the Lead Quality Assurance Specialist is to drive testing strategies and quality assurance efforts across various projects. This involves overseeing the implementation of testing processes, aligning them with project objectives, and ensuring adherence to timelines.

This senior-level position requires a seasoned professional with expertise in leading testing and quality assurance activities and teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as tenacious attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop test plans, write test cases, and estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to efficiently meet project deadlines and quality goals.
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs, effectively communicating and working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Design, develop, and execute test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage for both new and existing features.
  • Continuously track and improve quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, to ensure the highest level of software quality.
  • Apply testing processes for new and existing products, tailoring them to meet specific client needs and project requirements.
  • Perform thorough exploratory, functional, and regression testing to ensure the reliability, usability, and performance of software applications.
  • Collaborate with developers and other team members to identify and address potential quality issues early in the development process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience leading testing and quality assurance activities and teams.
  • Experience developing test plans and writing test cases.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Tenacious, detailed-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar tools for defect tracking and management.
  • Experience with automation testing tools is an advantage.
