SharePoint DeveloperAbout the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, customising and maintaining SharePoint Online to support collaboration, data management and digital transformation initiatives across the organisation. This role will contribute to developing AI-driven search and FAQ tools for improved knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and customise SharePoint Online sites, subsites, lists, libraries and metadata to ensure seamless integration and user-friendly experience.
  • Develop page layouts, web parts and workflows to support business processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Set up secure and user-friendly document libraries, team sites and communication sites that meet governance standards.
  • Implement and manage user permissions, access levels and content governance to maintain consistency and usability.
  • Integrate Power Automate and Power Apps to automate workflows and streamline operations, improving productivity and reducing manual errors.
  • Work closely with business units to gather requirements and configure solutions that meet their needs.
  • Support AI-enabled document retrieval, such as Copilot integration for FAQs and product manuals, to improve knowledge management and reduce response times.
  • Provide technical support, training and guidance to SharePoint users to ensure they are equipped to utilise the platform effectively.
  • Maintain governance standards and ensure consistent structure and usability throughout the SharePoint environment.
  • Collaborate with IT to align SharePoint development with company-wide digital goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of proven experience configuring and managing SharePoint Online.
  • Strong knowledge of site structure, lists, libraries and permissions.
  • Experience with setting up SharePoint applications and integrating them with other Microsoft 365 ecosystem tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS or JavaScript for customisation and extension of SharePoint features.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail with focus on usability and governance, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with previous experience in a trade, engineering or industrial services environment advantageous.
