Role Overview

This role combines hands-on financial management work with leadership and client relationship oversight.

  • Oversight of day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Leadership, mentoring, and management of a team of accountants and bookkeepers to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Development and implementation of financial controls and process improvements.
  • Collaboration with senior management and clients to address financial inquiries, resolve issues, and provide strategic insights.
  • Coordination of audits and liaison with external accountants as needed.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting practices.
  • Experience in property management accounting is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
