Facilities Technician

The role of a Facilities Technician involves providing expert maintenance and repair services for various installed systems within facilities. These services are crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of these systems, thereby minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.

  • Maintenance and repair work on mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems is a key responsibility of this role.
  • The technician must also maintain and operate HVAC systems, electrical equipment, CDA systems, PVAC system, and building repair equipment.
  • Regular facility inspections and reporting of conditions affecting operations are essential tasks to be performed by the Facilities Technician.
  • This role also involves monitoring and supervising preventive Maintenance agreements.
  • In the event of an emergency, the technician must respond promptly and effectively.
  • A significant part of the job requires preparing and submitting reports on facilities system conditions with recommended actions.
  • The technician must have a comprehensive understanding of equipment operation, BMS, HVAC, CDA, PVAC, RODI, and other systems.
  • The role also involves complying with all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting after-hours facilities operations and maintenance activities as needed.
  • Attending training sessions and seminars is also an essential part of this role.

Requirements:

  • A High School diploma and Technical Certification related to Facilities systems are minimum educational requirements for this role.
  • The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude is necessary for success in this position.
  • Effective communication skills are also required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to generate detailed, accurate reports are highly valued.
