The role of an Architecture Awards Consultant is multifaceted and dynamic. This position requires a leader who can effectively manage and execute award submissions for top-tier national and international programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing an annual awards submission calendar is crucial in ensuring strategic relevance and meeting deadlines.
  • Identifying eligible projects, awards, and categories across residential and design sectors is essential to success in this role.
  • Preparing and managing award submissions involves curating images, developing text, crafting project storytelling, and completing online forms with precision.
  • Collaboration with the design and marketing team is vital in gathering assets, photography, and plans to create compelling submissions.
  • Maintaining records of submissions, deadlines, and results is critical in tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Providing expert advice on photography, presentation, and narrative positioning is key to maximizing chances of winning.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of managing architecture and design award submissions is essential.
  • Strong familiarity with award platforms such as AIA, Architizer, Dezeen, Dwell, Interior Design, Best of Year, The Plan, and WAN is required.
  • Excellent writing skills with an eye for architectural storytelling are necessary to distill complex project ideas into clear and engaging language.
  • The ability to work comfortably with architects, creatives, and photographers is vital in creating successful submissions.
  • Attention to detail and deadline-driven approach are essential in maintaining high-quality submissions and meeting deadlines.
  • A portfolio of successful past submissions or awards won is highly desirable.
Preferred (But Not Required)
  • Experience with press kits, media relations, or architecture PR is beneficial.
  • A background in architecture journalism or design communications is advantageous.
