Lead Commercial Credit Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating credit proposals from various sources, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Your expertise will help shape the bank's decision-making process and drive business growth.

Job Summary:

This is a senior leadership position that requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in middle-market commercial lending, with a strong background in financial analysis, risk management, and team leadership. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate credit proposals from various sources, including marketing groups, domestic and international branches, and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Manage and direct the activities of the division, including training and development of staff.
  • Monitor credit portfolios and perform credit calls with IBS partners.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage credit risk.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance or business.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in middle-market commercial lending.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
