Job Overview

The role of Accounting Manager is a key position within our organization's lean, high-performing accounting team. The successful candidate will serve as a right-hand to the Controller and play a critical dual role.

This individual must be able to operate comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels, supporting higher-level initiatives while also taking ownership of core accounting processes such as close, reconciliations, and reporting.

We are seeking a problem-solver with strong accounting expertise and business acumen who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes full ownership of their responsibilities with a mindset of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process, analyze general ledger accounts, and provide insights on significant variance.
  • Prepare internal financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and support management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts in FloQast, ensure resolution of discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all required tax forms, including sales and use tax, business licenses, and annual reports.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits and ensure compliance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and other relevant regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Experience in both public accounting and corporate accounting environments is preferred but not required.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong focus on accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Continuously looks for ways to improve accounting workflows and efficiency.
