The role of an Accounting Officer is multifaceted, requiring a high level of proficiency in financial analysis and management.
">Key responsibilities include assisting in financial planning by interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports to support decision-making. This involves analyzing revenue and expenditure, forecasting income and expenses, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions. Additionally, the Accounting Officer will participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing timely and accurate financial information to inform business decisions.
">In terms of accounting, the Accounting Officer will be responsible for accurately maintaining and updating books of accounts (Journal, Ledger). This includes processing daily, weekly, and monthly employee timesheets, calculating employee work hours, and managing payroll. Furthermore, the Accounting Officer will be involved in implementing regulatory compliance and reporting, contributing to policy development and documentation, and communicating with employees regarding compensation, benefits, and deductions.
">The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accounting Management, Business Administration, Financial Administration, Human Resource Management, or equivalent course. At least 6 months to 1 year of accounting-related experience is required, as well as a working knowledge of basic accounting principles. Familiarity with Labor Laws, manual bookkeeping, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are also essential.
