We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with experience in the construction industry to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in accounting software
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Track invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure timely collections and disbursements
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and construction industry regulations
  • Assist in preparing documents for tax filings and audits
  • Coordinate with project managers to track costs and profitability for construction projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and job costing is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software
  • Excellent English communication skills: reading, writing, and speaking
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
