Key Role:

The Head of Finance will play a pivotal part in the financial leadership of a growing energy company, contributing directly to strategic initiatives in the energy transition.

This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-evolving energy environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead accounting, reporting, controlling, payroll, and payment operations.
  • Manage and develop a small finance team (Accountant, Administrator).
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee group reporting in line with IFRS standards and support consolidation.
  • Coordinate annual audits and prepare statutory financial reports.
  • Drive process improvements across financial systems and workflows.
  • Lead annual budgeting and monitor execution across business units.
  • Support project development through business cases, financial modeling, and contract review.
  • Manage tax matters in coordination with external advisors.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant finance experience, with proven management responsibility.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, reporting, and consolidation.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Datev) and financial reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Energy sector experience is advantageous but not essential.
