Role Overview:

The Regional Volunteer Coordinator will provide strategic support to manage and engage volunteers within a portfolio of assigned countries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with host country staff and Program Operations to determine volunteer team roles, plan local and international volunteer identification, and placement.
  • Strategize equitable volunteer position offers to partner and program countries, aligning with their engagement goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of volunteer placement, international flight logistics, and preparation in collaboration with volunteer management staff.
  • Support credentialing by ensuring documentation is in order, requirements are met, and processes completed.
  • Assess and escalate priority issues/comments from volunteer evaluations.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on volunteer placement and team composition status.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Volunteer Manager on training and support for regional volunteer management staff.
  • Contribute to volunteer resource development, document management, and data collection.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of volunteer coordination, customer service, or project management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a multicultural context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency for effective stakeholder and volunteer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently with high initiative.
  • Proficient English language skills, written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed.
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
  • International travel and domestic travel up to 10% of the year as required.
