Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Post Trade Technology team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing cloud-hosted .NET services as part of a global transformation program.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring team members, providing local management support to engineers, designing and maintaining software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality code. This developer will work in an agile delivery team to drive engineering deliverables, with close engagement to stakeholders and the wider technology organization to deliver modern technology services.

  • Mentor other engineers in the team, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Work with business analysts and users to elicit and understand functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Design or assist with the design of cloud-based services to replace legacy applications.
  • Coding of cloud-based microservices in C# using industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Development of unit and integration tests.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, identify and solve complex problems, and review related information to evaluate and develop solutions.
  • Test and deploy applications and systems.
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team adhering to programming disciplines to deliver change effectively.
  • Serve as an expert on the system and provide technical support.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong development background (8+ years) coding in recent versions of C# and .Net Framework.
  • Experience developing cloud architectures and cloud-based solutions such as services in AWS.
  • A good understanding of invoice workflows, revenue recognition risks, and financial compliance.
  • A good understanding of microservice architectures and patterns.
  • Experience in decoupled service-orientated systems for internal system dependencies and code.
  • Experience designing and writing robust software for large-scale applications in a fast-changing environment with rapid release cycles.
