Job Overview:

The Patient Financial Outreach Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring patients receive accurate financial information prior to appointments and that all communications are properly documented in the Electronic Health Record system.

This position requires excellent communication skills, strong accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively engage patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options.
  • Provide clear explanations of billing statements and assist with setting up payment plans when necessary.
  • Accurately document patient interactions, financial discussions, and related information in the EHR system to maintain a clear and consistent record.
  • Work closely with intake, clinical, and billing teams to ensure accurate information flow.
  • Elevate complex patient or insurance issues for resolution.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare accounts receivable is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and time management are critical.
  • Ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Comfortable using billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours are expected.
