Lead Development Expert

Our organisation seeks a seasoned development leader to oversee the delivery of high-quality projects. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for guiding development teams and collaborating with clients to translate business requirements into impactful applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical leadership and line-management guidance to the development team.
  • Taking ownership of project delivery, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Identifying potential blockers and proactively resolving issues to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Maintaining and enforcing best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies within the team.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, creating technical briefs, and providing regular updates on project status.
  • Shaping architectural decisions to guarantee scalability, security, and maintainability.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Significant experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead in software engineering.
  • Proven track record of working directly with clients or customers to comprehend technical requirements.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams through technical delivery and direct line management or mentoring.
  • Deep understanding of agile ways of working, industry standards, and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in test-driven development and testing best practices.
  • Understanding of version control tools (Git).
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and operational concerns (monitoring, performance testing, security considerations, accessibility).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Each stage assesses different aspects of the Technical Lead role, including architecture design, technical implementation, code standards, and teamwork.
