Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Operations Specialist to join our payroll team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll processing, with strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail and a thorough understanding of payroll laws and regulations in the United States.

  1. Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  2. Use ADP payroll software to manage payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, overtime, and deductions.
  3. Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring payroll-related data is current.
  4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and wage garnishments.
  5. Prepare and file payroll taxes and related filings, including federal, state, and local tax payments, and year-end forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Generate payroll reports, track hours, overtime, PTO, and resolve discrepancies.
  2. Assist with audits and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.
  3. Support employees with payroll questions, deductions, and issues.
  4. Monitor changes in payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
  5. Collaborate with HR and finance departments for payroll and benefits integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of payroll experience, with expertise in ADP.

Skills:

  1. In-depth knowledge of payroll processing in the US, including federal and state tax regulations.
  2. Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  6. Strong communication skills for employee inquiries and issue resolution.
  7. Ability to adapt to new technologies.
  8. Team player with collaborative problem-solving skills.
