Freelance Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled Freelance Draftsman to deliver high-quality drafting services. This role involves working closely with engineering partners to create accurate and detailed drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop site layout options, generate lot-specific drawings, and revise existing plan documents with engineering details.
  • Collaborate with city/county staff to expedite permitting and provide timely support to builders on-site.
  • Analyze and defend drawings to jurisdictional reviewers as needed and communicate with engineering partners for accuracy and value engineering.

Requirements:

  • An associate's degree in the related field; bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of drafting experience or equivalent.
  • Residential construction or home remodeling drafting experience required.
  • Familiarity with building codes and permitting standards in WA and OR preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport.
