Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our team. As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth product development lifecycle, managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and analyzing financial data to ensure profitable partnerships. You will work closely with our Product Development team to source new suppliers, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.

This role requires strong organizational skills and agility to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new suppliers, including all direct communication, sample sourcing, pricing negotiation, and timeline management to ensure suppliers meet all required deadlines. Also, you will ensure all products meet & exceed quality standards.

You will conduct financial analyses for new & ongoing products, including cost and margin analysis, using Excel or Google Sheets to ensure profitable outcomes. You will negotiate costs with suppliers to meet 70% margin requirements while maintaining required SRPs. You will have a thorough understanding of key cost analysis inputs including shipping costs, duty costs, and tariffs based on HTS codes for calculation and evaluation.

You will work closely with the product development team, including Associate Director and Sr. Director, to understand product requirements and ensure that activities align with product development timelines and budgets. You will identify and source new suppliers to meet business needs, including researching and evaluating potential suppliers for new or existing projects. You will manage timelines and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all new products launched per season. Ability to manage many projects simultaneously for multiple seasons, each at varying stages of development.
