Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our global workforce. You will primarily focus on U.S. payroll operations, with significant involvement in Canadian, Australian, and Indian payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees within the US, Canada, and Australia
  • Upload Canada and Australia payroll data into third-party vendor systems for processing
  • Process US payroll using Workday
  • Partner with global teams to ensure all payroll data is received timely to meet strict processing deadlines
  • Coordinate with managers to ensure hourly timecards are completed, reviewed, and approved
  • Process, review, and analyze payrolls for all pay groups
  • Ensure accurate data for new hires, employee changes, leave of absence, and terminations
  • Comply with state final pay requirements for termination payments and process them in a timely manner
  • Respond to and complete unemployment claims
  • Monitor the payroll inbox and respond to email inquiries promptly
  • Participate in Year End reconciliation along with Year Begin preparation
  • Assist with payroll-related audits
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of dedicated U.S. payroll experience
  • Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Workday for U.S. payroll processing
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Strong analytical capabilities, particularly in understanding and applying tax laws related to payroll
  • A high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proactive, efficient, and capable of working independently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and manage strict processing deadlines
