Job Title: Bookkeeper
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to manage financial operations across multiple businesses. This role involves ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bank and account reconciliations for all accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, Stripe, and GoCardless accounts.
- Issue invoices in a timely manner, hitting billing deadlines consistently.
- Accurately record daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Prepare key financial statements, including income and payment statements, and profit and loss accounts.
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable records, ensuring vendor payments and client payments are recorded accurately and on time.
- Fulfill tax obligations by filling out relevant tax forms and liaising with accountants.
- Complete month-end closing procedures by reconciling all accounts and ensuring financial records are up-to-date.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with experience managing finances for multiple businesses or clients.
Familiarity with UK accounting practices and tax regulations is highly preferred.
Strong proficiency in Xero and Dext accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
