Project Lead and Strategic Planner

The Project Lead is responsible for driving product development and business growth from conception to launch and beyond.

  • Develops and leads strategic planning projects for Engineering and Business, encompassing third-party integrations, marketplace expansion, eCommerce technology, and business projects such as General Ledger replacements and department tool enhancements.
  • Facilitates in-depth discussions with stakeholders to gather comprehensive product requirements and feedback, ensuring the Engineering team receives sufficient detail on the business's needs.
  • Captures high-level product requirements and translates them into detailed, actionable tasks for the development team.
Key Requirements & Development Lifecycle
  • Manages stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering, facilitating project meetings with heavy use of Jira.
  • Collaborates closely with Business Departments to aid in the design and development of technology-based process improvements.
  • Learns a solid understanding of business and technology workflows to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PM & PROBLEM RESOLUTION STRATEGIES
  • Facilitates effective project completion across all stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Proactively identifies and assists in the resolution of underlying conflicts, competing priorities, and roadblocks.
  • Acts as a bridge between technical capabilities and business needs, working closely with the business to cultivate an overall technical understanding of the platform.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) and a minimum of 5 years of related PM experience ideally with eCommerce knowledge.
  • Demonstrated understanding of various eCommerce platforms, ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Database systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts clearly and persuasively.
