Remote Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to lead our internal finance and accounting operations. This role will primarily focus on bookkeeping, reporting, financial controls, cash flow management, and tax compliance.

The ideal candidate is an experienced accountant with strong U.S. GAAP expertise (IFRS knowledge a plus), a solid grasp of U.S. tax law, and the ability to manage end-to-end financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare and analyze the three core financial statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve financial control systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk management.
  • Manage vendor invoicing, collections, payroll, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow report to support liquidity management.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
  • Provide scenario analysis and cash flow projections to management.
Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and file U.S. corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors when necessary.
HR Support
  • Maintain proper filing systems for contracts, invoices, and corporate records.
  • Assist in preparing and sending out contract templates and related documents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA preferred; ACCA/CA a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm, ideally in a managerial or senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge or willingness to learn is an advantage.
  • Practical experience with U.S. tax law.
Skills and Qualities
  • Strong command of financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial modeling.
  • Understanding of the three core financial statements and their interconnections.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of critical evaluation.
  • Highly organized; able to maintain orderly records and documents.
  • Proactive in identifying and solving problems; initiates process improvements without prompting.
