Senior Financial Planning Assistant Role

As a Senior Financial Planning Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional client service and supporting the development of comprehensive financial plans.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor client investment portfolios to ensure they remain aligned with recommended asset allocation strategies.
  • Prepare recommendations for senior advisors on any necessary changes and maintain accurate records of advice.
  • Compile quarterly and annual client performance reports to showcase portfolio growth and returns.
  • Develop SMSF investment strategies that meet clients' unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with product providers and investment platforms to ensure seamless portfolio management.
  • Maintain up-to-date client Work in Progress logs/CRM tools and reconcile fees and commissions in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative support to clients as needed, ensuring their financial planning journey is streamlined and efficient.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree holder in Commerce or Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in Australian financial planning, with a strong understanding of portfolio management and investments.
  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality client portfolio reports and develop effective SMSF investment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior advisors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Nice to Have:
  • Xplan experience is advantageous, but not essential.
