Job Title: Cloud Operations Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our engineering organization. As a key member, you will be responsible for architecting and running cloud environments with hundreds of private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters.

You will bring Python software-engineering skills and rigor to the operations domain, practicing devsecops from bare metal to application. This role involves operating cloud environments using automation and a universal operator pattern and model-driven operations.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will approach operations as a science, relying on metrics and code, and learning the entire stack from bare metal networking and kernel up to serverless and open-source applications.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage
  • Python software development expertise
  • Operational experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes deployment or operations
  • Familiarity with public or private cloud management

This is a globally remote role with twice-yearly team sprints in person.
