AWS Cloud Engineer

As a highly skilled AWS DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reliable infrastructure to support our production and development environments.
You will manage and enhance our container orchestration systems with a focus on Kubernetes while maintaining a balanced view of other critical AWS services such as EC2, ALB, IAM, and VPC networking.
Your role involves building and maintaining automation for application and infrastructure deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management.
You will partner with software engineering teams to improve build, release, and monitoring processes.
In this position, you will monitor and improve system availability, latency, and performance across the full stack from cloud infrastructure to backend services.
You will develop internal tools and scripts to enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and security.
A key aspect of this role is participating in incident response efforts including root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
You will also participate in architecture reviews and help guide decisions on infrastructure design, resilience, and observability.
To stay ahead of the curve, you will remain informed on industry trends in reliability engineering, cloud-native tooling, and DevOps practices, and integrate improvements into our operational playbook.
This role requires a champion who can advocate for security, scalability, and cost-efficiency in all infrastructure decisions.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role supporting production systems at scale.
You should have hands-on experience managing containerized applications using Kubernetes preferably AWS EKS but with understanding of broader infrastructure ecosystems.
A strong knowledge of AWS services and how they integrate to support modern architectures is essential.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code IaC tools such as Terraform, and configuration management tools is required.
Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines is also necessary.
You should have programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages used for automation and tooling.
A deep understanding of systems observability including logging, metrics, and tracing is crucial.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems is also required.
Familiarity with security best practices for cloud and containerized environments is essential.
A clear and proactive communicator comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
