Job Title

A medical content specialist is required to analyze, gather, and document clinical requirements using best practices defined by Clinical management. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to guarantee correct coding guideline interpretations.

  • This position requires a strong analytical mind, effective communication skills, and the ability to present complex material clearly via multiple mediums.
Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and document clinical requirements in compliance with Clinical management guidelines.
  2. Validate clinical requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure correct coding guideline interpretations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate rule/policy behavior and confirm solution requirements meet business expectations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, nursing, or other healthcare-related degree required.
  • AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or AHIMA CCS-P or CCS certification required.
  • 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience, with at least 2 years as a payment/reimbursement or medical policy analyst, medical coder, medical claims processor, chart reviewer/auditor, or clinical editing analyst.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
