Financial Operations Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial operations expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and operations management.

  • Maintain the highest standards of financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Manage daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations across international entities with precision and attention to detail.
  • Process invoices, manage payments, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Verify and process employee reimbursements while ensuring strict policy compliance and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with payroll to ensure accurate payroll records and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports that provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Perform month-end close tasks including meticulous reconciliations and variance resolution to ensure the company's financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Support tax and compliance efforts including VAT/GST, payroll, and corporate tax filings by staying abreast of changing regulations and requirements.
  • Monitor expenses and recommend cost-control improvements to optimize financial performance and drive business growth.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting with expertise in AP, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with both Australian and US accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • A strong understanding of IFRS & local accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
