Job Overview

As a Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events (MICE) professional, you will lead the planning, organization, and management of group travel requirements for client accounts, as well as individual and business travelers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to market prospects, position competitors, broaden the client base, and promote products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and achieve mutually beneficial goals.
  • Lead and mentor team members to identify new sales opportunities, develop winning proposals, and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of agreed scope of services, package inclusions, exclusions, costs, and other terms and conditions related to group travel arrangements.
  • Plan, allocate resources, and provide direction on the proper handling of travel arrangements to meet client commitments; make financially responsible decisions that are justifiable and defensible.
  • Monitor client payments and coordinate with finance for collection of receivables.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors through market intelligence and research.
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to foster teamwork and unity while promoting diversity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in the travel industry.
  • Working knowledge of flight reservation systems, hotel reservations, and online booking tools.
  • A wide network of contacts within the travel industry, including competitor agencies, travel suppliers, and service providers.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • People management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A strong work ethic, dedication to morals of hard work, responsibility, and integrity in the workplace.
