Virtual Legal Support Professional

The role of a Virtual Legal Support Professional is to provide administrative and client communication support within a criminal defense and litigation practice. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can serve as a reliable bridge between the attorney and clients.
Main Responsibilities- Communicate with clients prior to court appearances to gather updates and provide reminders.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the attorney and clients, ensuring clear and timely updates.
- Draft and distribute client letters, and maintain regular client touchpoints.
- Explain case processes and legal updates in easy-to-understand terms.
- Utilize technology to manage appointments, calendars, and court dates, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Update and manage client records using relevant software (training provided).
- Follow up on billing, retainer fees, and accounts receivable with clients.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative professional in a law firm is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish is a plus).
- Proficiency with phone systems and client management software.
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work independently.
- Professional, empathetic, and able to handle sensitive client interactions.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
- Experience with RingCentral and AI transcription tools is a plus.
- Paralegal experience is a plus, but not required.
