About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily receipting, monthly bank reconciliation, and bank account administration;
  • Prepare term deposit investments and maturity communications;
  • Generate financial reviews and reports;
  • Manage monthly cash flow forecasts and ensure timely payments;
  • Conduct year-end financial checks and accrual journals;
  • Assist in financial year budget preparation;
  • Issue contribution levies to owners;
  • Liaise with external auditors on audit queries;
  • Coordinate on/off-boarding of new/lost business;
  • Prepare quarterly BAS statements and review;
  • Review yearly tax statements and prepare;
  • Process management agreement updates and fee corrections;
  • Complete bot exception reports and manual tasks;
  • Coordinate body corporate loans and their management;
  • Provide information and explanations to relevant parties;
  • Attend finance meetings with external clients as required;
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks related to owner charges;
  • Process payroll and superannuation for building managers;
  • Investigate ad-hoc bank deposit recalls and dishonoured payments.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in accounting or a similar field;
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting;
  • Budget preparation experience;
  • Understanding of financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow);
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and communicating results;
  • Account reconciliation experience;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Knowledge of income tax and BAS (desirable).
