Job Description

The Reimbursement Support Specialist is responsible for reviewing the claim status in portals and initiating phone contact with insurance carriers to verify and update the claim status. The representative will work to locate all available documentation needed for posting and appeals processes.

Work Arrangement: Onsite (Makati or Cebu)

What do you need to succeed

Education and/or Experience

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience in claims follow-up

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, & Outlook

  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis

Physical and Mental Demands

  • This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate, and communicate.   • Demonstrate robust claims follow-up experience with medical insurance carriers and a comprehension of the medical claims life cycle.
  • Multitask effectively and maintain attention to detail.
  • Exhibit proficient data entry skills.
  • Work independently with proficiency.
  • Navigate multiple insurance portals proficiently.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy.
  • Efficiently and effectively operate under time constraints.
  • Possess a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute with 90% accuracy and demonstrate proficiency with computers.
  • Apply knowledge of medical terminology as required.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail.
  • Maintain self-motivation and willingness to self-direct.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.
