Role description:

Lead the Process and People Management for the Content Team and provide strategic advice for the development of content for internal and external communications

Role accountabilities:

Process management & content strategy (60%)

  • Champion the company's brand, style and tone of voice
  • Lead brainstorming sessions for content development
  • Review and improve the outputs of Copywriters and Senior Copywriters
  • Develop initiatives to prevent mistakes and defects in delivering outputs and services
  • Improve workflow processes in coordination with stakeholders and the team in Manila by identifying/developing tools and best practices for the workstream
  • Set editorial strategy to create consistent and compelling content across communication platforms
  • Support content marketing campaigns across different channels
  • Collaborate with global clients and team members in delivering multiple projects on time
  • Provide data-driven insights to help develop content strategies that will drive more value for the brand and business
  • Promote the team's services and capabilities to regional and global stakeholders

People management (30%)

  • Identify training needs and manage professional growth of Copywriters
  • Oversee the onboarding, training and mentoring of new Copywriters
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members (PDR and GPS), one-on-one coaching, regular team catchups
  • Recommend team members for rewards and recognitions, upskilling, pay raise, and promotion
  • Handle discipline management
  • Promote culture of feedback, positive team culture and mentorship
  • Analyze current structure and propose ideas for the future comms structure to the STL
  • Manage the team's budget, FTE utilization and workload allocation
  • Supervise/manage the Content Team
  • Identify and resolve local team issues
  • Serve as the POC for organizing general administration and collaborative efforts involving the Content Team
  • Attrition management

Administrative (10%)

  • Ensure team's work and administrative compliance
  • Maintain an updated record of the team's capabilities, available resources and workflow processes
  • Lead the implementation of Arcadis Way practices relevant to the team
  • Perform other duties relevant to the Arcadis Way line manager role
  • Support the Manila Leadership Team in the implementation of company policies and Arcadis Strategy and Vision

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 6-year experience in copywriting/copyediting, content development or similar roles in a high-pressured environment
  • A degree in English, journalism, marketing, sales, public relations, communications or similar disciplines
  • Experience in leading a team, project management and stakeholder management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint) and Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Excellent coordination and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong attention to details including correct spelling, use of grammar and punctuation
  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Confident, proactive and can pitch creative ideas
  • Has a flexible approach to work
  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary civil engineering projects and experience in professional services, consultancy or construction sector
  • A flair for creative writing
  • A team player who can build strong working relationships with global stakeholders
