Duties and responsibilities:

  • Process and coordinates day to day telecommunications activities including accessing network and telecom devices to create, maintain, configure and deploy telecom services with the organization.
  • Coordinates, creates schedules, and tracks all work orders for telecom and cable technicians on MAC (moves, adds, changes, installs) requests.
  • Ensures repairs and services request are completed in a timely manner.
  • Logs customer satisfaction surveys after completion of telecom work orders.
  • Receives and provides support problem resolution assistance for all incoming telecom request via email, telephone, or Service Desk Center.
  • Provides monthly billing invoices for digital, analog, and long-distance voice services.
  • Coordinates all telecom work orders with vendors, processes telecommunications administrative paperwork.
  • Maintains multiple telecom databases for accuracy including master phone extension, call accounting and emergency database.
  • Develops and maintains an inventory system for telecom equipment, tools, and supplies including spare equipment and phones from approved outside vendors.
  • Maintain departmental billing system for all telecom related expenses.
  • Obtains bids and quotes, prepares purchase requisitions, and maintains contract documentation in relation to supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinates and completes various telecommunications projects as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Preferably has completed a Technical Certification Program
  • Knowledge in various telecom products and services for data and voice
  • Experience in provision/maintaining network devices (cisco, microtik, avaya, linksys, tplink, etc)
  • Familiar with network and telecom protocols at tier 1/2 level.
  • Has worked or acted as telecoms liaison/POC to coordinate for technical and account related issues.
  • Has at least 1 year of progressive experience in Information & Communications technology (ICT) or a client-server multi-user computing environment and open system network architecture as Network Administrator, Systems Administrator/Engineer.
  • Has proficiency in global computing hardware and software solutions.
  • Preferably has working experience in retail and distribution systems for Cargo, Courier and/or remittance industry, financial services, supply chain management.
  • Experience as technical lead is a plus.
